I play Xu Banxia in “Wild Bloom”. [Welcome Miss Xu] There’s a joke online that Zhao Liying plays Cho Chiu Chiu in “Legends of Chu Qiao” and Hua Qiangu, as well as Banxia in “Wild Bloom”. Yes, this is a coincidence. It’s fate. How did it feel when you first read the script?
Did it shock and touch you? I just think it’s too hard. It’s really hard. She’s complicated. She has a strong sense of faith. Every time I play this kind of role, I know very well the way I perform. I was a little timid at first. But then I met the director.
He had strong energy and faith. Through Xu Banxia, the different characters, I can change myself too. What’s Xu Banxia’s character like in your eyes? What’s the point of having a new character? Xu Banxia is a doer. [In Liying’s eyes, Banxia is down-to-earth.] She is also very ambitious. [Ambitious]
She’s a businessman who values interests. But she values relationships very much [She values interests and feelings. She’s responsible.] and is very responsible. The whole story will show you what Xu Banxia is like. She’s not the kind of role that we understand. She has experienced a change in her heart.
In terms of making money, she has experienced a change of family and friendship, [Family, friendship, love] her thoughts and feelings or emotions. You can see her depression. Xu Banxia is a cruel character. How many points will you get if it’s measured for the role-interpretation? About 89 to 90.
She’s quite good at pursuing her career and very capable. Anyway, during the interpretation, I think people who do things needs courage. You must have strong endurance. It’s definitely not about simple emotions. Maybe she needs a longer time of goal and plan. She knows what she wants very well. For me,
I’ve learnt a lot too from Xu Banxia [Learnt a lot from Xu Banxia] about what I want. She’s influenced me like this. For her, she has also a soft spot. But she doesn’t show it. She may not show it so easily. Banxia’s wardrobe is rich in clothes.
What do you think is the item that can highlight her temperament? I think it’s earrings. Because I picked earrings every day. It felt great. She always gave me accessories, earrings, and watches for me to choose. In every stage. you can see her change of earrings. They’re different. In each stage,
The earrings you wear in some stories are actually different. When she’s happy or when the business is done, or when she’s in a relationship, she’ll eventually go through a change. And I think I have a sense of ritual for this role. It also relieves stress. During the filming, everyone had different habits

They dare to think and do things. They have a clear goal and are bearable, as well as responsible. Do you think Xu Banxia is a social genius? Xu Banxia has high EQ. [Praise] She’s good at doing things and capable. She’s good at finding a way of survival. She can also drink.
She drinks very quickly. Just drink. She’s not hesitant in the face of baijiu. She’s not like that. I hope she is straightforward like this, so that everyone is willing to interact with her. I think she has some characteristics. So she can deal with Mr. Qiu and Mr. Wu and survive.
What’s Xu Banxia’s original intention as a businessman? What is she different from other older businessmen in the drama? Her original intention is to lead her partners to live a better life and create better life for her family. She just wants to make money to live. In the end, as she becomes richer.
Gradually, she encounters setbacks and difficulties. She also gets depressed sometimes. After experiencing these things, her original intention becomes more realistic. In her generation, doing business can be a candid thing. Is there any scenes you like very much and feel good about? Too many. As long as we get together, it’s a play. Is that I want to take Tong Xiaoqi to buy clothes. Before that scene, we drank a lot to adjust the atmosphere. It made us get along better. Because we really need this. When I beat Tong Xiaoqi, I didn’t follow the script. [There’s some space to perform.] It’s not written in the script.

For the three of us. About the scenes you went to the north for a business talk. How do you feel? I’m quite happy. We had stewed goose in an iron pot. And we also had heat in the room. Eat popsicles. Candied haws, and watch the snow. When we go to Northeast,
We had to wear that hat to prove that the four of us came to Northeast China. It was quite exciting. That was a very happy journey. Everyone thinks your winter outfit is amazing. What do you think? I think so too. They said we looked like Bald Qiang, but I’m not alone. It’s signature.

What do you think of the love bond between the Iron Triangle? I envy it. You have someone you absolutely trust. That’s something valuable. You can give your back to each other. Xu Banxia is a very straightforward person. What do you think of her straightforward personality? Yes, I like it. Because I more and more feel for many things I don’t like to spend much effort to communicate. I’d like people to talk straightforwardly.
